Asnida Daim

After undergoing her elementary education in Oxford, England and proceeding to the United States to further her studies -where she obtained a degree in Management and Marketing- Asnida Daim started her professional career with SMSB as a Management Trainee in 1985. In 1989, after spending about 4 years in the company and rising through the ranks through hard work and sheer commitment, she was appointed the Group Managing Director of the Maluri Group of Companies.

Over the years, she has gained first-hand exposure and has been involved with various aspects of property development and construction. Between 1983 and 2004, she was appointed as a Trustee of Yayasan Pok Rafeah Berdaftar (YPRB). YPRB is an NGO and a charity organisation that provides financial aids and scholarships to students who show academic excellence and also to those who are in need of financial aid. YPRB also provides research grants and financial aids to institutions of higher learning in order to strengthen ties with foreign bodies and promote a better understanding of Malaysia’s heritage and culture. As a result of her busy schedule, Asnida Daim resigned as a trustee from the foundation after 11 years.

In 1993, the Malaysian Institute of Management (MIM) recognised her paradigmatic managerial role and honoured her with the Young Manager of the Year Award at its maiden edition. The Young Manager of the Year Award was introduced to recognise the contributions of a new breed of managers below 35 years old, who have demonstrated excellence in knowledge, job expertise and attitudes. In June 1996, she received the Kuala Lumpur Malay Chamber of Commerce Entrepreneur Award. Even offshore, her high level of professionalism and exemplary leadership skills have not gone unnoticed, she was listed in Baron’s International Edition of “Who’s Who in the Asia Pacific Rim.” Asnida is also a member of the American Management Association.

Tan Keng Teong

Born in 1956, Tan Keng Teong is a Civil Engineer by profession and is the current Director/Group General Manager of Maluri Group of Companies, a position he has occupied since 1991. He obtained a First Class degree in Civil Engineering with Honours from the University of Strathclyde, Scotland in 1980 and joined the Drainage and Irrigation Department (DID) where he completed his two-year compulsory government service.

After completing his two-year compulsory government service, he joined the Maluri Group of Companies (Maluri) in 1982 as a Project Engineer and rose through the ranks. Apart from holding the position of the Director/Group General Manager of Maluri Group of Companies, he is also a member of the Board of Directors of other subsidiary companies within the Group.

Abdul Rashid Bin Mohd Isa

Abdul Rashid Bin Mohd Isa was born in 1953 and had his early education at the Royal Military College, Sungai Besi, Kuala Lumpur. In 1971, he was among the few who were selected to be sent to the Britannia Naval College in Dartmouth, England for Naval cadet training.

He was commissioned as a Midshipman after graduation and proceeded to join the Royal Malaysian Navy where he started his Military career. During his service, he displayed exceptional leadership characters and held several key appointments including Commanding Officer of Missile Ship and Staff Officer in the Department of Planning and Development in the Ministry of Defense. In 1986 he attended a staff course at the United States War College after which he was promoted to the rank of Commander. Also in 1989, he was awarded the “Kesatria Angkatan Tentera” by DYMM SPB Yang DiPertuan Agong; an award that was given only to outstanding Navy officers.

After 22 years of service in the navy, Abdul Rashid opted for an early retirement in order to venture into the private sector. He obtained a Masters Degree in Master of Business Administration from the Central Lancashire University before joining Maluri in 1996 as Executive Director of PMSB. In his capacity as Executive Director of the company, he was involved in various aspect of its Management and gained hands-on experience in property development and construction. He has since been appointed Group Executive Director and currently sits on the board of several subsidiary companies in the Maluri Group of Companies.
